Automated surface inspection
In this application example from RAU Automatisierung, the quality control of surfaces is demonstrated with the help of a scanner, an igus® line gantry and an Apiro® gear. The scanner moves with the gantry over the workpiece to inspect the surface for irregularities. In doing so, it has to perform a rotary movement several times, which is made possible by the Apiro® gear under the scanner.
Gantry robots are compatible with various end effectors, camera systems and accessories and are suitable for various pick and place, bin picking and other applications in all industries from laboratory to vertical farming.
